Show Me the Sound (2011)

In the tranquil Latvian countryside, Dagne, her husband, and teenage daughter find their family bonds strained by everyday life. Dagne receives a diagnosis of progressive hearing loss, forcing them all to navigate a challenging new reality and learn new ways to communicate, including sign language. The adjustment is difficult for everyone. Feeling isolated and unsupported, Dagne struggles with her diagnosis. Her daughter is consumed by her music band and preparations for a competition. Meanwhile, her husband is absorbed in his work on the farm. Even simple routines become complicated and emotionally taxing.
