Lakis Lazopoulos witnesses the unraveling of everyday Greek life as a house collapses, a river floods, and people are forced to flee. The film explores the history of modern Greece from 1960 to the present, examining societal breakdown, rising self-interest, declining empathy, increasing corruption, and the diminishing perception of Greece in history. Chryssa Ropa embodies a modern Penelope, desperately trying to preserve her home, her child, and her life amidst loss. But love and affection are eroded by years of betrayal and avarice.
