Description:
Nathaniel Pickman Wingate creates a portal to another dimension in his basement lab. His wife, Nancy, wants him to prepare for his birthday party, and he asks his son Sam for help. Sam is absorbed in looking at pictures of Jasmine online, and a poster of her arrives which he stores in his closet. Despite it being his birthday, the family is captivated by a visit from Cousin Desmon, now a count in Liechtenstein. While Sam is out with his friend Alex getting equipment for his father, Nathaniel is pulled into the other dimension. A creature escapes from the parallel universe, pursued by another. The first creature temporarily immobilizes its pursuer with saliva, attacks Desmon, and then becomes a duplicate, absorbing his thoughts. The other creature breaks free and, unable to find a human to mimic, discovers the Jasmine poster...
