Description:
Before Jackass, there was Ralph Zavadil, known as Cap'n Video, an Ontario local-access legend. He performed outrageous stunts like jumping from roofs into snowbanks and drinking eggs through his nose, entertaining and shocking viewers in St. Catharines. Beauty Day is a documentary about this pioneer of local cable antics. His career ended when an Easter Show featuring a rabbit and puppies (all unharmed) led to his permanent removal from the air. With a touch of Werner Herzog, the film explores Cap'n Video’s life and discovers he’s still full of energy. Written by Laurence Kardish.
