Days Before the Millennium (2022)

During the 1990s, many young women from Southeast Asia traveled to Taiwan, seeking opportunity and marrying into a wealthier life. The film unfolds through two stories, exploring Taiwan's past and present. It asks whether these immigrant women, separated by time, can find freedom and self-discovery in a new country. And can both the newcomers and the Taiwanese people achieve true liberation?
