Vincent, raised in a violent home, finds himself unintentionally sent to a youth center after reporting a family dispute to the police. There, he assaults the center's director who makes unwanted physical contact. Violence seems to be a constant in Vincent’s life. He then encounters Butterfly, a shy boy who collects butterflies to cope with his parents' death. Intrigued, Vincent tries to connect with Butterfly and gradually forms a friendship. However, his mother unexpectedly returns to inform him he is no longer welcome at home, leaving Vincent devastated. Overwhelmed, he suddenly attacks Butterfly, his vulnerable friend.
