Seven Days (2013)

The year is 1968. Civil unrest erupts nationwide as minority communities protest. President Johnson, convinced inadequate housing fuels the violence, makes his third attempt in two years to pass a fair housing bill through Congress. The assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. in Memphis on April 4th shifts the nation. One week later, President Johnson achieves his legislative goal. Seven Days is an animated compilation of 1960s media – television, newspapers, photographs, video, and radio – documenting the events in the streets, within the halls of Congress, and reflecting the feelings of everyday Americans during this pivotal period.
