Idiot (2007)

This is the story of one man's journey back to life – a return from institutionalization and a fight for his freedom. Andrey, a man who doesn’t shy away from self-deprecating honesty, recounts a lifetime of extraordinary events. After 30 years confined to a mental hospital with a lifelong diagnosis of "incapacity," he escapes into the chaotic reality of the capital city. Without identification or a place to live, Andrey navigates a labyrinth of official offices and psychiatric evaluations, determined to prove he is capable of regaining his independence. His only goal: to reclaim his legal capacity.
