The Journey of Vaan Nguyen (2005)

Hoiami Nguyen left his home village in Vietnam due to political turmoil and chance, finding himself a refugee in Israel. He became the father of five Israeli daughters. His daughter, Vaan, chronicles her parents' difficult journey in a blog, highlighting the conflicting expectations she faces between her Israeli spirit and her Vietnamese heritage. Feeling disconnected from both worlds, Vaan is drawn into her father's tragic story when he returns to Vietnam – a tale of loss and resilience. Hoimai's desire to return home prompts Vaan to seek a better future in Vietnam. Together, they attempt to reclaim their family's land in the Vietnamese jungle.
