Description:

Driven to desperation, Dr. Wilfred Manz's experiment with a beetle-shaped amulet goes awry when he accidentally spills blood on it during an explosion in his lab. The god Khepera appears and transforms Manz into a demi-god magician. Thirty years later, now calling himself Khepera, he lives in a secluded castle and uses his powers to destabilize governments and economies. American correspondent Jack Murphy witnesses the chaos following the suicide of the Spanish prime minister and observes a nurse, Elena, secretly take a scarab from the dead leader. He learns the scarab is linked to the Egyptian god Khepera. Murphy is captured, and Elena, who was forced to sacrifice her brother as children, prepares to make another sacrifice with a sacrificial dagger.
