Description:
Ronnie lives a quiet life in a small village, running a frozen food business. His days consist of daydreaming, browsing personal ads, listening to the local brass band, seeing his therapist, and sharing sarcastic moments with his friend Lars about music and pop culture. He's always felt stifled by his overbearing mother. Ronnie keeps his emotions guarded until a mysterious woman washes ashore in the village. The local priest hires her as a housekeeper, and soon, she ignites a passionate frenzy throughout the community. Ronnie falls for her and unexpectedly marries her. But Zoya’s arrival brings unsettling occurrences; anyone who investigates her past vanishes. A familiar fear begins to grip Ronnie – a primal apprehension of women.
