Toni Janssen, a restaurant owner in the Eifel region, is feeling down after a breakup and the decline of her restaurant. She'd rather stay home than face the world, but her mother Heidi won't let her give up. The women in their family have always been independent, and Heidi's successful new guesthouse proves it. Heidi, optimistic despite being in her mid-fifties, finds a spark with Ron, the gardener hired by a new business owner, and soon falls in love.
