He is also Blowfly, his outrageous alter ego and the first X-rated rapper. "The Weird World of Blowfly" offers a unique look at this funny and controversial artist, revealing aspects of his everyday life. Now 69, Blowfly tours globally in his gold-spangled superhero costume, performing raunchy music after 50 years in the industry, still pursuing recognition. The film examines Clarence and Blowfly's distinct impacts on music history, including Top-10 R&B hits and what is considered the world’s first rap song, recorded in 1965.
