Description:
This film adapts Hans Christian Andersen's classic tale "The Tinderbox." It follows a puppeteer living in a bleak world who creates a story about himself as a brave soldier. In the story, he discovers a magic flint and receives help from a wizard. He then falls for a demanding princess who tests her suitors with riddles. The king, eager for wealth, wants the puppeteer to marry his daughter, believing he possesses great riches. The tale has a happy ending, but reality proves different. "But life isn't a fairy tale," his beloved says as she says goodbye.
