During the 1980s, Paul Weller was a prominent figure in European music, initially with The Jam and later with The Style Council. Alongside keyboardist Mick Talbot, Weller released their debut album, "Introducing the Style Council," which proved successful. Their music blended black funk and white soul influences, while the lyrics grew increasingly socially conscious, contrasting with the upbeat sound. The concert recording features some of their biggest British hits, including "Money Go Round" (1983) and "Shout to the Top" (1984). The recording also includes an interview with Paul Weller by Full House host Alan Bangs about the originality of pop music.
