Description:
Set in the Aegean region, the story centers on Melek, the village's most beautiful woman, who finds herself unwanted after a divorce. This sparks resentment among the villagers, many of whom desire her while simultaneously disliking her. Dönek Husam, the wealthiest man in the village and already married, becomes fixated on Melek, desiring only a physical relationship she doesn't reciprocate. His escalating pursuit turns to hatred, culminating in a plot to murder her. Meanwhile, Yaman, Melek's daughter's former fiancé recently returned from the army, is sexually attracted to her. He assaults her but is physically deterred. Melek then begins an affair with Mert. Husam then falsely accuses Melek of witchcraft, inciting the villagers to kill her. Her attempt to flee the village fails, and she is ultimately killed by a mob of men with stones.
