Brainy Baby: English (2003)

Brainy Baby is an educational program developed with university research and published in the JOCAM Journal of Children and Media. Children enjoy the Brainy Baby DVDs, often watching them repeatedly to learn new things. The English program introduces basic first words to preschoolers by using everyday objects and familiar settings to help them make quick connections. The interactive DVD features live-action footage of real children and introduces over 50 words, including colors, numbers, favorite things, action words, and common phrases, narrated by a native English speaker. Lively music accompanies a gentle, instructional voice that describes what the child is seeing. Lessons consistently use a teach-repeat-review method.
