Description:

While his father Porter Ricks is away at ranger school, teenager Sandy stays at their Florida Keys home with his dolphin, Flipper, under the care of a neighbor. Sandy discovers the family home, built on state land, is slated for demolition to build a highway. He faces being sent to live with relatives and Flipper being permanently relocated to a seaquarium. Determined to stay with Flipper, Sandy runs away with him in his skiff. A worried Porter returns home to find his son. Simultaneously, the Hopewell family from Britain are vacationing nearby. Their sailboat is hijacked by escaped convicts, who take the father hostage and leave the three women adrift. They eventually land on the island where Sandy is hiding. Written by Huggo.
