Los Boys (2012)

Like breakdance's history as a form of cultural resistance in the US, this documentary finds a parallel in the adolescence of young people in northern Argentina. "Los Boys Street" is a breakdancing group known for their appearances on the Argentinian reality show *Talento Argentino*, where they made it to the finals. The group's members are teenagers aged 12 to 18 from Palpalá, a town in Jujuy province. Without formal training, they documented their journey on the show using their own cameras, offering a raw perspective on their experience. The film chronicles Los Boys’ history while also depicting the everyday lives of its members in Palpalá, a town once a major industrial center that suffered decline after the 1990s coup and privatizations.
