Twins (2002)

Identical twins possess a unique fascination, captivating with their mirrored appearances, from features to freckles. Every August, Twinsburg, Ohio, hosts a festival drawing nearly 2,000 twins, triplets, and quadruplets – an unusual event that Mary Ellen Mark and Martin Bell documented during the summer of 2001-2002. Bell filmed "Twins" in the summer of 2002, while Mark completed photography for her book, working from a tent on a volleyball court at the festival. After photographing twins, they were interviewed in a small studio behind a backdrop, answering twenty questions designed by Mark and Bell to guide the film's structure.
