Lebo, l’ombre et la lumière (2007)

In March 1984, Gérard Lebovici, a 52-year-old figure in the media, art, and radical politics, was murdered in a parking lot on Avenue Foch. The circumstances surrounding his death – whether it was a mafia hit or a political assassination – were never resolved. Lebovici founded an actors' agency, produced and distributed films, and ran a publishing house. A friend of Guy Debord, he existed at the crossroads of major societal tensions: wealth, media, fame, networks, rebellion, critical thought, and marginalization. This portrait of Lebovici explores a period spanning from the 1968 protests to the cynicism of the 1990s.
