Description:
After her father's death, Pollyanna Whittier moves in with her wealthy but unhappy aunt. Pollyanna uses a game her father taught her – the 'Glad Game' – which encourages finding positivity in any situation. Her optimistic spirit and determination to see the good in everything surprisingly changes the people around her. With her friend Jimmy Bean, she brightens the lives of Beldingsville’s grumpiest residents: the cynical Mrs. Snow, the gloomy Mr. Pendleton, and the mysterious Dr. Chilton. Pollyanna also sets up a romance between her aunt's maid, Nancy, and the handyman, Tim. However, her aunt struggles to accept Pollyanna's unwavering joy. Pollyanna’s fight against negativity is complicated when she faces a personal tragedy that threatens to steal her happiness.
