Description:
Grief-stricken after the loss of his wife, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is initially unresponsive to pleas for help, even from Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. He's finally drawn back into the world when his secretary presents him with the case of George Edalji, a Parsee solicitor wrongly imprisoned for writing obscene letters and animal cruelty in Staffordshire. Edalji seeks Doyle's assistance in clearing his name, but as the investigation progresses, Doyle begins to doubt Edalji's innocence. Uncovering the truth becomes crucial for Doyle to resolve the case and his own personal sorrow, while also sparking significant reform within the English judicial system.
