In 1989, a horrific series of human sacrifices and tortures occurred in Matamoros, Mexico, carried out by a gang led by Adolfo Constanzo. George Gavito, a former Texas deputy sheriff, details these gruesome "palo mayombe" killings, which ended in April 1989. The case, involving the disappearance of wealthy American teenager Mark Kilroy, gained national attention when it was featured on Geraldo Rivera's show. This documentary uses news footage, police photos, and video to reveal that the reality of the crimes is even more disturbing than depicted in the 2007 film *Borderland*. Gavito was a key investigator in the case.
