Description:
During the Mexican Revolution, a young man returns to his hometown in Chihuahua after studying in Paris, only to find it occupied by Pancho Villa's forces. He revisits his abandoned home, recalling memories of his youth – his uncle, the police chief; his sister's activism with a liberal group; encounters with women from a local brothel; and a violent labor strike – revealing the society under dictatorship before the revolution. Back in the present, he learns his father has been murdered and joins the revolutionary movement with his father's former servant.
