Adaptation: Kentucky (2020)

Two Rivers Fisheries in Wickliffe, Kentucky, operates on the motto: "If we can’t beat ‘em, eat ‘em!" Chinese-American entrepreneur Angie Yu exports wild-caught Asian carp, an invasive species in the Mississippi River, to 11 countries where it's a popular food. She's also trying to change Americans' perception of carp, which is often considered undesirable. Filmmaker Alizé Carrère documents this transformation, showcasing how an invasive aquatic species can become both an economic asset and a culinary delight – a testament to resourceful adaptation in a dynamic world.
