Description:
In the early 1980s, two hundred pairs of terns were displaced from their natural nesting site on a river island near Riga. Seeking a new home, the birds chose the flat, pebbled roof of a printing house in the city center. The first generation raised on this rooftop has flown to Southern Africa each winter, a journey equivalent to the distance between the Earth and the Moon. The film explores various human reactions to the terns, while highlighting the birds' unique perspective – viewing the world from above.
