Description:
The casino's sole focus is the roulette wheel. The female dealers are largely ignored by the players. Takis, a medical student working odd jobs, seeks only a day's pay, not riches. Vera, a gym worker, works as a dealer to protect her mother, who is barred from the casino due to employee regulations. Vera’s father won't gamble again, she vows. Takis and Vera fall in love and conspire to fix a roulette game, using the money to support Vera's mother before escaping to a friend's house. Their romantic escape is short-lived, overwhelmed by hardship. When Vera's father dies, she unexpectedly gains wealth. At his funeral, the casino manager threatens her with jail time.
