Description:
In 2019, Hong Kong saw widespread protests against a contentious extradition bill. At the Polytechnic University, students join the fight for freedom and democracy. Negotiations with police are tense, marked by shouting and politically charged music broadcast over loudspeakers. The students' use of colorful umbrellas as protection highlights their defiant spirit, bordering on recklessness. What starts as a spirited protest against authority transforms into a desperate situation when police surround the university. Inside, the building becomes a prison. Over the following weeks, as fear and exhaustion mount among the trapped students, so does the uncertainty of whether to stay or attempt to break through the police lines.
