Description:
Lost Course follows a community-led democratic movement in the Chinese village of Wukan. The villagers protest against corrupt local officials, successfully removing them and establishing their own elections. However, after gaining control, they face the same corruption and cynicism they fought to overcome. Through the experiences of three central characters, the film reveals the intricacies of their journey – their victories and disappointments – from within.
