Description:
In November 1970, James Taylor and Carole King shared the stage for the first time at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, California. Taylor had recently released his first album on Apple Records, while King was establishing herself as a solo performer, despite already being a celebrated songwriter for other artists. By 1971, their lives had changed significantly. Taylor's "Fire and Rain" was a chart-topping hit, and King's album *Tapestry* was poised to make her a music superstar. Thirty-six years later, in November 2007, Taylor, King, and members of their original band, "The Section"—including Danny Kortchmar, Leland Sklar, and Russell Kunkel—returned to the Troubadour for a three-night celebration marking the venue's 50th anniversary.
