The Last Look (2011)

A Spanish writer and journalist, born in Argentina, returns to Patagonia to complete a novel about his parents, who were murdered during a military coup. He harbors a desire for revenge against the former Sheriff, their suspected killer, who lives nearby. While developing a relationship with the Sheriff's daughter, he discovers a shocking truth about her origins – she was likely abducted from her murdered parents. He subtly fuels her suspicions, leading her to Buenos Aires to uncover the past. There, she learns the truth from her father, who reveals he made a deliberate choice not to save her. Confronted with this revelation, she ultimately resolves the writer's conflict in a tragic confrontation with the Sheriff.
