Description:
"La Cordée de Rêve" documents Patrick Berhault's extensive traverse of the Alps, undertaken from August 2000 to February 2001. Recounted to his daughter, the journey features periods of solo travel and companionship with friends: Patrick Gabarrou, Patrick Edlinger, Ottavio Fassini, Gaël Bouquet des Chaux, Valérie Aumage, and Philippe Magnin. During the trip, he reunites with Patrick Edlinger in the Dolomites and witnesses the formation of the "Cordée Magique Berhault/Magnin." Over 167 days, Berhault traversed the Alps on foot in the fall and skis in the winter, completing 2 to 3 stages daily, covering 1,500 to 2,000 meters of elevation gain and up to 45 kilometers. He summited 22 peaks. This undertaking, dubbed "La Grande Cordée," represents an extraordinary feat of human endurance and athletic achievement.
