Pa’lante (2020)

Set in Prague, this comedy-tinged drama follows 26-year-old Šimon as he navigates a difficult divorce and still harbors feelings for his ex-girlfriend, Johana. His world shifts when he discovers Johana is now dating a transgender woman. Initially, his best friend Jáchym offers support through partying and escapism. However, Jáchym finds love and leaves Šimon to confront his situation alone. During a chaotic New Year’s Eve, Šimon unexpectedly ends up at a gay bar. Later, while waiting for the metro, he devises a plan to address his feelings.
