Description:
This is the second adaptation of a popular web novel by "I Eat Tomato." The first adaptation was a 2018 TV series starring Hawick Lau. The story takes place during the Xia Dynasty, the first dynasty in Chinese history. After the Infinite God King murders all life, he is sealed by Nuwa. Ji's family is tasked with guarding the seal, while the God King's descendants search for the Fengshen King. Following an incident where Ji Yichuan captures a beast for his tribe, he leaves his clan for the peaceful ruins of the fairyland with his junior sister, Wei Chixue. There, he meets the spirit swordsman Lanzheng Dao, who imparts his lifelong cultivation and reveals a conspiracy by the God King's descendants before passing away. Ji Yichuan realizes that true freedom can only be achieved through world peace.
