Flyaway Country (2005)

The film explores the idea of finding personal happiness in a new location. It follows American men and Russian women as they search for love in an unfamiliar country. Why do American men travel across the world for their ideal partner? What is happening in modern Russia as thousands of women seek international marriage through agencies hoping for happiness? Do Russian women expect love from marrying a foreigner? A plane can only return to its starting point before a certain "return point" is reached, after which the journey back is impossible due to lack of fuel. The film examines why Russians who have lived in America might want to return home and the moment they realize that return is no longer an option, that they have passed that point.
