Description:
The film opens with a descent into dreams, a battle waged with illusions detached from reality. Ki Dal-hee, isolated and withdrawn in a small rooftop room, avoids all connection with the outside world. He believes an enthusiastic woman named Geum Soon-ja appears as his savior, infiltrating his home and beginning a dangerous stalking, observing his every move. For Ki Dal-hee, Geum Soon-ja represents purpose and the spark of happiness. His intrusive actions, like a parasite, eventually escalate, leading Geum Soon-ja to kidnap and imprison him, dressing him in prison garb and condemning him. Geum Soon-ja’s enigmatic nature deepens, aided by her maid Oh Dal-rae who acts as a guard and forces Ki Dal-hee to write a statement of reflection. The line between reality and imagination blurs, plunging the narrative into an inescapable maze.
