Description:

Joe Keegan is a stand-up comedian known for his spectacular failures. Despite early promise, he's repeatedly bombed major auditions. Following a recent disastrous show involving a broken nose, Joe's friend Kenny offers him a chance at redemption: an audition for 'The Tonight Show.' The catch? It's at a bar in Pine Lake, Wisconsin, the hometown of talent scout Harvey Skorik, who always attends the annual Rocktoberfest. Hesitant but desperate for a change from Los Angeles, Joe agrees to go. He bombs his first night due to sabotage by the local emcee. His luck changes when he reconnects with Molly Mahoney, his former high school English teacher, who is also facing a turning point in her life.
