Times of Warlords (2014)

During the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, regional warlords maintained their armies and independent forces. Among them, Lei Hong, the warlord of Guangdong, was particularly ruthless, aligning with foreign powers and betraying Chinese interests. Many patriots sought his swift demise. Guo Tian, head of the Shanghai Jingwu Association, dispatched an imperial assassination team to Guangdong, but the mission failed. During the attempt, Guo Tian met Xiuhui, Lei Hong's concubine, and fell in love. Simultaneously, Ichiro Yamamoto, a representative of the Japanese Imperial Army, arrived and sought to control Lei Hong's affairs, including his family. Enraged by this, Lei Hong plotted to kill Yamamoto. At Xiuhui's funeral, Lei Hong invited Guo Tian and others, intending to ambush them all. Who will ultimately prevail?
