Description:
After auditioning for a minor role in his film, Sherry Stewart is angered when director Walter Darman rejects her. She and her boyfriend, Ronnie, plot to lure Darman to her apartment, where she drugs him and blackmails him for $50,000 by falsely claiming they had a sexual encounter. Disturbed by the situation, Darman's wife becomes suspicious. He then has a violent argument with his father-in-law, who heads the production company Darman works for, leading to the film's cancellation. Sherry threatens to reveal everything to Darman’s wife. Darman tells his secretary he’ll be working late and not to be disturbed, starts the film projector, and secretly leaves through the back door to go to Sherry's apartment.
