Description:
For several years, the film explores the lives and feelings of three families in a Havana neighborhood. Magalis, a nurse, struggles with unhappiness. An older man, Ignacio, declares his love for her; meanwhile, her father and brother clash over her brother's sexuality, and she contemplates leaving Cuba. Santo's wife Maria awaits their first child. Tragedy occurs, prompting Santo to abandon his family, seeking solace in alcohol and crime as his son is raised by an aunt unsure of his father's whereabouts. Vivian and Chino share a passionate love but remain childless, facing pressure from their community to have children.
