Description:
In Tokyo, university professor Kenzo Oshima is found stabbed to death in an alleyway, uttering the name "Totsukawa" to the person who discovered him. Inspector Totsukawa and Detective Kamei of the Metropolitan Police Department are assigned to the case. Oshima was a renowned expert on mitochondria, yet he had no known connection to Totsukawa. Puzzled, Totsukawa begins an investigation and finds a suspicious man on security footage near the crime scene. To find answers, Totsukawa and his team interview Associate Professor Hayase Yumi and Koji Nakazono, the president of a biotechnology company who was collaborating with Oshima. They discover the man in the footage is Akaike Shogoro, a childhood friend of both women.
