When his wife becomes pregnant, Akihiro abandons his acting aspirations and returns to his hometown of Shirakawa, Fukushima. But as time passes, he struggles to find his identity. He discovers a local costume contest and enters as 'Dharuriser,' inspired by Shirakawa's traditional Daruma doll. This brings him into contact with 'Dice,' a secretive group aiming to transform Shirakawa into their ideal society. Though both groups want to revitalize the city, their contrasting visions clash, sparking conflict. Dharuriser is a man without special powers, relentlessly resilient even in defeat, who questions the very definition of heroism.
