In World War II, a teenage Jewish girl named Anne Frank and her family go into hiding in Nazi-occupied Netherlands, where she documents their experiences over the following years in a diary. This is a French-edited version of the 1995 anime film by Akinori Nagaoka, shortened from the original and featuring a new orchestral score. First screened at festivals in 1999 (with some English dubs), it was released on DVD in 2000 with French audio and English subtitles. An official English dub followed later, with a trailer appearing on YouTube in 2015. The edited film with English audio became available for free on YouTube in May 2020. The title information on TMDB is inaccurate; the English title should be listed in the "translated title" field. However, the French title, "Le Journal d'Anne Frank," appears on the poster.
