Description:

Disillusioned 13-year-old Jack Carlisle feels neglected as his mother works constantly since his father's departure. Convinced his mother wouldn't notice he's gone, he runs away. Before he leaves, his nanny persuades him to read a mysterious book about a pirate adventure on Magic Island. As Jack reads, he's transported into the story and embarks on exciting adventures with Prince Morgan, all while escaping the villainous Blackbeard. He finds an unlikely ally in Lily, a beautiful mermaid, and falls in love with her.
