Description:
Yura, a young man from the Minsk suburbs with a fondness for local beer, struggles to find work, often singing mournfully while playing his guitar: "Chemistry, chemistry, you little wait for me and remember me." He inadvertently finds himself at a protest rally broken up by police and encounters an activist from the Western-funded "Beaver Youth" movement. Yura steals a cell phone from their office, an event that unexpectedly draws the attention of both an American spy and Belarusian President Lukashenko. The "Beaver" movement then nominates Yura as a candidate for president, and he ends up with the phone. Ultimately, Yura returns to his simple life, drinking beer and watching television.
