From January 16th to April 28th, 2018, the Théâtre de la Porte Saint-Martin in Paris presented *The Game of Love and Chance*, a three-act romantic comedy by French playwright Marivaux. First performed in 1730, the play centers on a young woman who, wanting to learn more about her unknown fiancé, swaps places with her servant and disguises herself. Unbeknownst to her, her fiancé has done the same, trading places with his valet. This playful deception leads to a comical exchange between the two sets of disguised characters, ultimately resulting in the couples falling in love with the people they were meant to.
