While stopping at a gas station for a restroom break, Kees (42) and his children, Roos (12) and Willem (6), briefly become separated. During this time, each of them witnesses something that prompts self-reflection. Willem unexpectedly sees a couple making love and is unsure how to react. Roos, who typically acts like a boy, begins questioning her identity after being mistaken for a boy. Kees, a divorced father, believes he's having a romantic encounter with a younger woman, only to discover it wasn't intentional. He realizes he's at a turning point in his life and must redefine himself. Each character experiences a subtle shift in their personal journey.
