Description:
On the planet Amoi, a highly structured society exists within the computerized city of Tanagura, governed by the supercomputer Jupiter. Society is largely divided by hair color, with silver/blond individuals at the top and those with dark/black hair at the bottom, often called "mongrels." Blonds possess "pets"—typically young boys kept for a few years for voyeuristic entertainment. Strict rules forbid sexual interaction, but Iason Mink, a Blond, has kept his pet, Riki, for years, and is rumored to be having a sexual relationship with him. This defiance is disapproved of by Jupiter. Riki struggles with his feelings for his friend and former gang member, Gai, and the pressures of his situation. Iason is determined to keep Riki, leaving Riki uncertain whether to resist or yield to Iason's desires.
