¡Salud! examines human values and universal health concerns through the unique example of Cuba, a country with limited resources but a healthcare system often praised as among the best globally. The film travels with 28,000 Cuban healthcare professionals working in 68 countries, and follows international medical students in Cuba – currently 30,000 strong, including nearly 100 from the United States. These personal stories, combined with expert perspectives, reveal the differing approaches to global health and the challenges in ensuring healthcare for all.
